This beautiful property in Wigan received a complete driveway upgrade, replacing a tired and uneven surface with a seamless, premium resin-bound finish. The aim was to create a cleaner, brighter, and more contemporary entrance that would complement the stone buildings and landscaped surroundings—while also providing a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution.

How We Transformed the Driveway

1. Preparation & Repairs

Before any resin could be applied, the existing driveway was thoroughly cleaned and assessed.
Damaged areas in the old tarmac were repaired to create a solid, even base. This stage is essential for ensuring the final surface is stable, crack-resistant, and long-lasting.

2. Resin-Bound Application

A premium UV-stable resin was mixed with a natural stone aggregate chosen specifically to complement the property’s warm stone exterior.
The mixture was blended on-site for consistency, then hand-trowelled across the entire driveway to achieve a smooth, flawless finish.
Careful attention was given to levels, drainage flow, and edging to ensure the driveway performs as well as it looks.

3. Final Curing & Clean Finish

Once laid, the resin was left to fully cure. This forms a hard, durable, flexible surface that withstands daily use and changing weather conditions without cracking.
The finished driveway is permeable, meaning water naturally drains through—no more standing water or runoff issues.
